When the Area 419 lid for the A&D FXi scale arrived I thought they’d mistakenly sent the wrong item because of the heft of the package. I was expecting something quite similar to what I already had which would have been a lightweight, flimsy thin plastic lid only clear this time. I was wrong. The Area 419 lid is a solid 1/2″ thick piece of lexan. It’s as clear as glass and rock solid. It’s added stability to the V3 powder throw and corrected a height issue I’d had previously with the original lid that made it necessary to tilt the cup to get it back under the nozzle. Now I can easily see the powder being dumped and the trickle up happening from above and my cup slids under the nozzle without having to be tipped over. The new lid came fully protected from any possible scratches or abrasions and it’s definitely an excellent upgrade. It’s highly recommended. I was so impressed by the quality and functionality of this item that I turned around on the same day and ordered the Area 419 funnel kit from Brownells. Once again I was astonished by the superior craftsmanship and attention to detail. Long story short is this,,,my only regret is not buying something from Area 419 earlier. They are at the pinnacle of reloading and shooting gear. Anytime in the future that I need something or want to upgrade, Area 419 is going to be my first choice.
