This past weekend I finally ran the barricade block along with my harris bipod with the barricade clamp attachment at a match. I have the 12-inch universal 419 arca rail on the bottom of my rifle. Does it work? Yes, absolutely. Unfortunately I only had 1 stage with a standard PRS barricade. On this stage, I had to engage a target at 450 yards from 4 different positions on the barricade for a total of 8 shots. The positive is that once the system is properly deployed it was effortless to hit the target. Follow up shots were extremely easy – the rifle didn’t move… I was literally still on the 2 MOA plate after recoil. The negative is that the system is somewhat tough to deploy on the clock to fit the barricade perfectly. Now, this was my first match using the barricade clamp & block so I recognize that my ability to deploy will improve as I practice. Better than a game changer? Yes – stability is excellent if you can deploy quickly but as of right now I’m still faster with the gamechanger due to practice.
