Dorman 310-219 Evaporative Emissions System Leak Detection Pump Compatible with Select Models,Plastic, Black and White

I got this item to try to resolve a P0456 error that was showing up on my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. This item looks pretty much identical to the factory model although the insides do not rattle like the factory model. That doesn’t seem to make a difference, it has been on the Jeep for three weeks and is working fine. Install really wasn’t bad. I didn’t need to takeoff the rear wheel. I did break a couple of the clips that hold the inner part of the wheel well so I ended up having to buy a few of those, but those were easy to find on Amazon. After I installed this item, I cleared the OBD code and the check engine light has not come back on. I think this did the trick!! Much better than the $300 to $400 the dealer would charge! I kind of took my time and was videoing it as I went, the whole thing took me maybe 30 minutes. No special tools required, socket, and screwdriver, pliers. Although it would’ve been handy to have the tools to remove the clips, I might’ve avoided breaking them if I had those tools. But I have them now for next time! I watched a couple of YouTube videos so I had a good idea of the procedure. It really was pretty easy.
