I ordered these bolt license plate latest for my old 1996 Chevy truck. I purchased this vehicle without license plate lights. I don’t drive this truck at night usually so it wasn’t a problem. I decided to evade the manufacturer fitted license plate lights and install these.Install was very simple and straight forward. I did need additional items to complete the install. This may not be the case for your vehicle as mine is older and the wiring is somewhat rigged in this area of the vehicle.I purchased additional wire and T-clip wire connectors. The T-clips with securing any exposed wire. The additional wire is needed since the wiring included with the bolts is very short.I pre-stripped the wire ends for this job, connected one end of the T-clips, disconnected the negative terminal on my battery and I was well on my way. There were little plastic screw enclosures located on my truck, that I removed from the screw holes in the bumper. These lights include two washers that will secure them in place. Mine secured nicely.After installation I connected the negative battery terminal and voila. I flipped the switch to the lights and it was a success. I haven’t take a picture in the dark but I can tell you it’s really bright. You can still see the brightness of these pictures taken late afternoon.All in all I was satisfied with the product. The affordability and ease of install was easy enough for a diy enthusiast such as myself. The material appears to be of durable quality.I would recommend for anyone wanting an affordable license plate light.P.S. I can’t load the pictures.
