Description Magnus has developed all the hard to find parts for your Mclaren. The factory Mclaren Crankshaft utilizes a Friction washer to secure proper timing between timing gear drive and Crankshaft.  Always replace when rebuilding your engine.  The friction washers increase the coefficient of friction between two fastened surfaces and can allow as much as 4x higher torque to be transmitted. This allows the components to withstand increased shear forces associated with making more torque.  If you have the dreaded cam phaser code,  The problem may actually be that your front pulley has come loose or the friction washer is now damaged.
