Received my bowl today and it is definately heavy-duty and much larger than I imagined it would be. I probably could have done with the 13qt as opposed to the 16qt. The box arrived and was in okay condition – looked a little banged up, but nothing unexpected from it’s travels. The bowl itself was half-heartedly wrapped with a seran-wrap type packaging. Upon removed the bowl from the box I noticed a “crack” or split in the edge of the bowl. I sent a message to the seller to explain the situation and they were very prompt with a reply and are sending me out a new bowl. I am excited to try the bowl they are sending out as, other than the split in the edge, it feels and looks like a great bowl. I will update this review if I find that the new bowl is anything less than great…otherwise, I’ll be too busy making pasta in my new bowl.
